There's hardly a shortage of pocketable devices for the blind, but the Zen is lookin' out for the visually impaired who crave a more full-fledged computing experience. Essentially, the Sandbox PC (hardware) and Zen (operating system) would team up to "create a computing environment that could be used with eyes closed." More specifically, it would utilize an Active Surface for displaying text in Braille and producing images, windows and icons that could be felt. No word on whether this contraption would handle other tasks such as reading one's e-mail aloud or enabling the blind to still participate in Hot or Not, but nevertheless, it's definitely a step in the right direction

We'll be honest, Mustek -- you're not exactly giving us a lot to work with. First you don't release any PR on your new products, then when we get to the booth, you seem unsure if you've even got new products.  Samsung has maintained the top spot in the world TV market for a seventh consecutive quarter. According to a quarterly report on the global TV market by consultancy firm Display Search on Thursday, Samsung Electronics ranked first in sales for a seventh straight quarter and first in volume for a fifth straight quarter. Samsung snagged a 17.7 percent share of the overall TV market by sales and a 13.8 percent share by volume. Samsung was the leader in the global LCD TV sector by both sales and volume, with an 18.4 percent market share by sales and a 16.8 percent share by volume. Sony and Sharp trailed Samsung in sales with 15.1 percent and 12.5 percent, respectively. By volume, SONY ranked second with 11.3 percent of the market followed by Sharp with 10.8 percent.

Essentially, you get what you pay for: a good tv with good color, pretty good resolution, and a good refresh rate. The HDtv channels that I HAVE seen are beautiful. If you run an Xbox 360, it too looks beautiful. However, plan to either have a back-up sound system that will run through the headphone jack, or spend some money to get one. The supplied sound isn't AWFUL, but a cheap speaker set (talkin' $20) sounds like a live orchestra in perfect tune next to the supplied speakers. Also, if you do have an Xbox (or whatever) that runs through either the HDMI or the VGA, you'll either need a female Y-adapter or a separate sound system entirely as the only audio input for those is a single headphone jack that says "PC Audio Input." Other than those two small annoyances, this is a great TV for the money. It also works well as a second monitor if you use it for movies you have on your computer.
