Toshiba Computer recall 2010 is a Satellite laptop recall caused by potential burn hazards.  Approximately 41,000 Toshiba laptops have been recalled from the US and Canada.  The recall is voluntary, after 129 reports from the US and 14 from Canada of overheating of the units. The overheating can cause the area around the AC adapter to melt, which poses a fire and burn hazard.

Consumers can go to the Toshiba Web site, download a BIOS update and it will notify the consumer whether or not there is a burn hazard with their unit.  It will then display a message for the consumer to contact Toshiba for a free repair.

\We have seen a few manufacturers releasing 3D notebooks recently, the latest is Lenovo with the Lenovo IdeaPad Y560D 3D notebook. The Lenovo IdeaPad Y560D 3D features a 15.6 inch display with a resolution of 1366 x 768 and comes with a a choice of Intel Core i3, i5 and i7 processors.Other specifications on the Core i7 model include ATI Radeon HD5730 graphics, an the option to upgrade to a 750GB hard drive, and up to 8GB of RAM. Prices start at around $1200 and for that you get a Core i3 processor, a 250GB hard drive and integrated graphics.

The Toshiba dynabook line is getting a serious revamping today with Toshiba Japan announcing multiple new laptops and netbook computers. The laptop you see above is a new ultra-thin that will be hitting Japan very soon in two different variations called the MX/34M and  MX/36M.

The two new ultra-thins will be priced based on the different processors that each one has, the MX/34M comes with a 1.06 GHz Intel Celeron U3400 CPU and costs $980, while MX/36M has a 1.2 GHz Intel Core i3-330UM chip and a price tag of $1,200.

Samsung has added two new notebooks to its range with the launch of the Samsung P80 and P30 series notebooks, as well as a new netbook, the Samsung NB30 Pro Netbook. Both the P80 and P30 notebooks are available with 14 inch and 15 inch displays, the P80 features an Intel Core i5 processor, 320GB hard drive, whilst the P30 features an Intel Core i3 processor and a 250GB hard drive.The Samsung NB30 Pro netbook  comes with an Intel Atom 450 processor, a 160GB hard drive and 2GB of RAM, plus it will comes with Windows 7 Professional.

Toshiba have announced the launch of the Toshiba Tecra M11 range of laptops. Toshiba describe these particular M11 laptops as being built for road warriors.

The design is kind of sucky and steps away from the more sleek looking laptops we are seeing this last year, but inside there’s a lot of power going on.

The screen on the Tecra M11 measures 14 inches. It’s a HD screen backlit by LED and has an anti-glare coating on it. It runs Windows 7 Professional. DDR3 memory can be found inside along with Intel Core processors ranging from the i3 to i5.

Here comes the news of another computer from Acer. Pretty interesting with the features and the information has leaked on the internet and is making waves.

The Acer Aspire TimelineX is kind of cool laptop but do not expect too much with the features of it, because as per the information leaked the processor it carries is just the Intel Core i5-520UM processor.

If you guys are expecting Intel Core i7processor then just stop thinking about it because it carries Intel Core i5-520UM processor with a clock speed ranging between 1.06GHz – 1.86GHz. This Acer Aspire TimelineX sports few other features that are pretty interesting apart from the processor.

It’s the new year, and time for some new stuff from Lenovo. The laptop manufacturer announced their latest and greatest recently, the new ThinkPad X100e and the ThinkPad Edge (amongst others).

The ThinkPad X100e is one of Lenovo’s new ultra-portable line, running on either an AMD Neo or Turion CPU. It features a full size keyboard, ships with Windows 7, and is available in red or black. The X100e should be available now, starting at $449.

Additionally, Lenovo announced the release of the ThinkPad Edge, also available with the Turion or Neo chipset, and featuring a 13, 14, or 15 inch screen. The Edge system are said to be extremely energy efficient, and will reportedly run for up to 8 hours between charges. The 13-inch version is available now, with the larger screens coming out in 2Q1010.
