The USB Kitty

April 2, 2007 |19:49 | Misc. Gadgets | PCs | Peripherals | Toys  By : Usman

The USB Kitty stands (okay, crouches) about 4 inches high, bobbing its head as it demands attention, much like a real feline prima donna. Using a handful of sensors, the device also meows ingratiatingly when you make kitty-stroking motions near its chin. The Kitty is just like a real pet, only with a timer, an alarm, and a repertoire of cat-language birthday songs. At least you don't have to clean a litter box.

Holo-Screen

March 31, 2007 |01:39 | Computers | PCs  By : Hardesh Hira

Developed by the boffins from the labs at Polo Flair in Nevada, the Holo-Screen is set to revolutionise home and office computing. The unit plugs straight into a USB port - just set the slim-line transmission unit on your desktop in place of your huge clunky normal screen, and sit back in disbelief.

It projects a 16 million colour RGB linear light stream onto a wafer-thin field of vibrating dust particles that are naturally occurring in the air. Light refracting from these free-radical particles creates a two-dimensional hologram of your computer screen. It's so 'out there' science fiction, you can almost hear Jean Luc Picard murmuring "Make it so" in the background.

You can even adjust the transparency of the screen. Set it to solid view, or reduce the transparency and see what's going on on the other side of the screen! It does this by utilising random atmospheric analytic software that scans the invisible micro dust field, and altering the density of activated dust particles. Not only does it massively reduce eye-strain and classic beta-ray fatigue, but the footprint of the unit is so small that you'll have a virtually clear desk!

USB AshTray

March 27, 2007 |23:34 | Computers | PCs  By : Hardesh Hira

If you're a smoker, than this is the gadget for you. This USB powered ashtray is the ultimate USB accessory because it actually has the ability to reduce the amount of smoke around your monitor and other computer hardware. Turn on the USB ashtray and smoke is sucked through a removable and easy to clean filter which resides inside the closeable lid.

USB powered ashtray on wheels is sure to spark up conversation, or at least some odd looks from your boss who already has a no smoking policy in place. (Fill the tray with scented pellets or potpourri as an alternative to getting fired or dying at a young age)

1st Blu Ray Rom

March 23, 2007 |22:55 | PCs  By : Hardesh Hira

LG had created their Blu-ray drive earlier but somehow they have only announced it now. They have shown the pictures of the drive and they have impressed the public.

It is not about the shape and colors it is made in. It is all about the Logos that are written on the front side: "Super multi blue", "HD DVD" etc. People who are looking at those things will be impressed with this gadget. Now all the computer geeks will make their rocket computers even better.

Along with impressive possibilities the price of the device is going to be $ 1,200. They announced that the release will be in May and we are all going to wait for them.
